It’s a Breeze: New Storm Door Installs in Just 45 Minutes

BAYPORT, Minn. (December 2011) — Adding beauty and energy savings to your entranceway just got a whole lot easier. Andersen’s new 45-Minute Rapid Install system for storm doors is the fastest and easiest storm door installation on the market.

The new installation system is available on our most popular storm door models: the Contemporary Series Interchangeable Fullview and Contemporary Series Single Vent storm doors. Homeowners will enjoy the quality they expect from an Andersen storm door in less time than it takes most of us to finish a single load of laundry. For product details and step-by-step instructions for the 45-Minute Rapid Install system, go to www.stormdoorcentral.com.

Cutting materials is a thing of the past with this new system — so are cutting mistakes. The installation design eliminates cutting and virtually all measuring. The door comes pre-hung in the factory with drip caps, sweep, and lock case in place, which speeds installation. An innovative, self-squaring clip system eliminates the need to measure. A drip cap extender at the top of the door expands into the opening, eliminating the need to cut Z-bars. It also allows the storm door to rest on the entry door sill while securing it into the opening. Pre-drilled closer bracket holes and a new closer jamb bracket design add to the ease of installation. Finally, the handle set twists and locks securely in place without the use of set screws or tools.

The Rapid Install system is available in multiple sizes, eight colors, three hardware finishes and a variety of clear or decorative glass options.

The product is available for order through Intelligent Quote (iQ) software version 12.0 beginning December 12, 2011. The Rapid Install system for storm doors is available at authorized Andersen dealer locations found in the Dealer Locator at www.stormdoorcentral.com.

Storm doors with the 45-minute install are also available at select Home Depot stores and atwww.homedepot.com.
