BAYPORT, Minn. (September 26, 2013) – Andersen Corporation today announced the promotion of Susan M. Roeder to director of Public Affairs. In this new role, Roeder will be responsible for growing the Andersen public outreach in all communities where we have a presence.
“Susan has been the public face of Andersen to the community for 17 years,” said Andersen Vice President of Corporate Communications Laurie Bauer. “State and federal government actions can have a significant impact on our ability to do business – and we want to ensure we are part of the conversation.”
Roeder joined Andersen in 1996 in with an initial focus on establishing the company’s community outreach and volunteerism locally and across the country. Her role expanded over the years to include developing Andersen’s public affairs initiatives at the state and federal level. In addition, she oversees brand public relations and serves as vice president of the Andersen Corporate Foundation board of directors.
Roeder earned her degree in Communications and Business from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She is active in the community and currently serves on the board of directors for Como Friends at the Como Zoo in St. Paul. In addition in 2012, Roeder was appointed to the Corporate Advisory Board for Yellowstone National Park providing collaboration and direction for the National Park Service in their sustainability initiatives.
