Andersen Corporation Acquires Frontier Tooling and Design Corporation to Strengthen its Fibrex® Material Capabilities

BAYPORT, Minn., January 4, 2018 – Andersen Corporation announced today the acquisition of Frontier Tooling and Design Corporation, an extrusion tooling supplier in Huntington, West Virginia.

“The acquisition of Frontier strengthens Andersen by providing an element of vertical integration in the design and fabrication of tooling for our many extrusion technologies,” said Jay Lund, Andersen Chairman and CEO. “Specifically, Frontier supports our strategic initiative of driving growth in our Fibrex® composite material with innovation, capacity expansion and better lead times. We welcome all Frontier employees into the Andersen family and look forward to a bright future together.”

Frontier is a private company founded in 1995. Frontier designs and fabricates extrusion tooling for fenestration, fencing and railing products. Financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Anderson is senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Express Scripts Holding Company. With an extensive, multi-industry background, Anderson brings a strong consumer and b2b marketing perspective. Andersen to Showcase Leading Sustainable Building Trends at Greenbuild ABX 2017

Andersen to highlight strategies for redefining boundaries and overcoming obstacles to healthy, net zero building

BAYPORT, Minn., November 3, 2017 – Andersen Corporation will be exploring the unique relationship between architecture and sustainability at the 2017 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, held in conjunction with Architecture Boston Expo (ABX) at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, November 8 – 10. This year’s show marks Andersen’s 15th consecutive year of exhibiting.

The Andersen Window & Doors booth, #1811 in Hall A-B, will highlight how the industry leader is working to redefine boundaries across multiple green building categories. Andersen experts and representatives will be on-hand to discuss green building, sustainability, ENERGY STAR®, and net-zero.

“Greenbuild is the perfect platform for Andersen to showcase our own thought leadership around sustainability and to engage in meaningful dialogue with industry partners about challenges we have yet to overcome,” said Eliza Clark, Andersen’s Director of Sustainability and Environmental. “We’re excited to share some of the dynamic trends we’re advancing through our products and programs in the categories of smart home, indoor-outdoor living, historic preservation, net zero buildings and more.”

Two case studies will be presented during this session. Will Ives, associate principal of Hennebery Eddy Architects, Inc., will discuss Yellowstone National Park’s Yellowstone Youth Campus, a Living Building Challenge concept/design slotted for 2018 construction and Marc Sloot, associate of Sala Architects, Inc., will discuss Bella Luce, a 107- year old Minneapolis, MN net zero Victorian residential remodel.

Visitors to the booth can select one of three non-profit organizations for Andersen to make a $10 donation to, either Yellowstone Forever Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, or Habitat for Humanity.

BAYPORT, Minn., October 31, 2017 – Andersen Corporation announced today the acquisition of Fenêtres MQ Inc., a luxury window and door manufacturer headquartered in Sainte-Agathe, Quebec, Canada with manufacturing locations in Canada and Italy. MQ specializes in serving the luxury residential and commercial segments and is known for its work on complex, historic renovations of grand scale.

Andersen Donates $325,000 to Support Disaster Relief Efforts

Product Donation of Windows and Doors Support Rebuilding Efforts

BAYPORT, Minn., October 16, 2017 – Andersen Corporation and the Andersen Corporate Foundation are providing $325,000 in monetary support and product donations to help the people and communities impacted by Hurricane Maria, Irma and Harvey.

The Andersen Corporate Foundation announced a $50,000 donation to Americares to support Hurricane Maria humanitarian efforts. The Foundation will be donating $125,000 to the American Red Cross comprised of a $75,000 donation and $50,000 in employee matching grants.

Andersen Corporation is donating $150,000 of windows and doors to help Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties in North Fort Meyers, Florida and Houston Habitat for Humanity with repair and rebuilding efforts.

Successful State Fair leads to donation to Minnesota Historical Society

BAYPORT, Minn., October 2, 2017 – Andersen Corporation presented the Minnesota Historical Society with a check for $10,000 for the Historic Fort Snelling revitalization campaign. The donation was made possible thanks to Renewal by Andersen booking 1,000 in-home consultation appointments at its booth at the 2017 Minnesota State Fair. For every appointment set, Renewal committed to donating $10 for the Fort Snelling restoration.

“We appreciate Renewal by Andersen’s generous commitment to the revitalization of Historic Fort Snelling, Minnesota’s first National Historic Landmark. Andersen kicks off “Nature Preservation Day”

Andersen Corporation Employees Roll Up Their Sleeves to Preserve and Protect Natural Habitats Across the U.S.

BAYPORT, Minn., Sept. 21, 2017 – Andersen Corporation announces the national expansion of its annual Nature Preservation Day employee volunteer program to all 21 manufacturing sites and company-owned retail locations.

During the last two weeks of September, more than 400 employees will participate in hands-on volunteering to help restore and protect the natural environment. Volunteers will tackle a variety of outdoor tasks, including invasive species removal, tree plantings, parks and trail clean up, trail maintenance and rehabilitation.

“Protecting the environment and making a difference in the communities where we live and work are core to Andersen’s values and DNA,” said Jay Lund, chairman and chief executive officer of Andersen Corporation. “We’re pleased to partner with so many local government and non-profit organizations to produce long-lasting community benefits for all to enjoy.”

Andersen’s Nature Preservation Day program began at the company’s Bayport, Minn. headquarters in 2014 and had expanded to five locations by 2016. The program helps educate employees about the impact they have on the environment, and helps to reinforce the importance of the company’s sustainability goals to reduce its enterprise waste, water and energy use by 20 percent by the year 2020.
